The labyrinth of life can be exhausting. We live in complicated times where we are bombarded by a constant stream of meaningless talking heads and 24/7 stream of information and events which we don't seek and yet floods our screens when we go to check our email, turn on the television, and it's even directly staring back at us from covers of magazines while we wait in line to get groceries.

It's often more common, through no fault of our own, to be more familiarized with the never-ending details of celebrities thrust into our faces than to get to know our own inner selves. The constant static and hum of FOMO and the media can be deafening, so much so that it can drown out our own thoughts and feelings which makes being in the present moment that much more challenging.

All of this hype and noise can be isolating and distracting while leaving us feeling disoriented, tired, and even lonely. It takes a concerted effort to put up boundaries and barriers for ourselves so we can again hear our own voice. Once we find it, it's only natural to want to share it with another even though this fast paced society doesn't seem interested in listening, commiserating or building actual connections between people. So, sometimes we all need to find a little company amongst each other.

A simple conversation and opportunity to get to know one another; someone who talks to us not at us. It's only natural to crave such a connection. It's amazing how even just some light and casual conversation can open us up to new experiences, personal growth and a sense of companionship with another human being who will not judge and can emphasize, cheer us on, and help us feel understood, accepted and supported.
