Picture this. You're in the back of a rideshare or wedged into a seat on public transit, a long commute ahead. Tired of doom scrolling, you'd usually play a few levels on one of the games you've downloaded to your phone. But you're just not in the mood.
What about when you're at a party, you don't really know anyone, and the conversations happening around you don't hold your interest? You're just biding your time until you can make a polite exit. And that work meeting that could have been an E-mail? Don't you wish you had something discrete to do to pass the time?
Even if you're not surrounded by people who don't pique your interest for one reason or another, sometimes we all crave an interaction out of the ordinary. To transform some of those mundane moments of life with interesting company. Maybe someone you've never met before. Someone who might have a completely different perspective than you, or someone with whom you find you have a lot in common! Those moments where a phone call might be indecorous, but a good conversation would still be welcome.
How about a text chat with me?
Granted, if your interests are politics, religion, or money, you won't find Me very engaging.
But almost everything else is fair game!
I host one on one text chats on Discord, and I'm happy to keep you entertained in those moments that drag on. I've got a wide range of interests--everything from history to music of all kinds.
And I type almost as fast as I think. *giggle* So conversation won't lag--unless you do!
Let's make the people on the train wonder what you're smiling about as you look down at your phone, thumbs busy, mind absorbed. But maybe try to keep a straight face in that meeting. You don't want to make it too obvious that you're paying absolutely no attention. *wink*
Have I captured your interest and imagination?
If you haven't downloaded Discord already, do that. Then add Me there under LDWRachel.
If you'd like to suss out whether or not we'd be good conversation partners, you can even Email me first: Rachel@ldwgroup.com.
